Kevin Lawrence's presentation on "The Magic of Action: How to Overcome Procrastination" gave our participants a lot of insight and tools to use in both their professional and personal lives.
The team members at our Head Office loved the "lick the toad" concept so much that we have printed up daily "toad to-do lists" for everyone.  Kevin's presentation was informative but upbeat, our conference attendees enjoyed his speech and many of them have embraced the "lick the toad" concept in their own offices.  As Business Coaches, the importance of overcoming procrastination is definitely something that we teach our clients and must practice is our own businesses in order to be successful at achieving our goals.  Thanks to Kevin, he not only made the point of its importance but made the concept of tackling those unwanted tasks more fun!

What can I say - Kevin's great!  Had a terrific time working with him - he's a consummate professional - and the feedback from everyone was super.  Now the whole company has been programmed to love toad-licking! Thanks.

Kevin Lawrence is a dynamic and credible presenter who truly connected with our audience.  His presentation hit the mark with the participants and brought insight into their bad habits while offering practical solutions to modify these habits.  "The Magic of Action" provided a great blend of both humour and practical advice.

Carolyn Campbell, BC Ready-Mixed Concrete Association, November 2003

Kevin Lawrence's presentation, "The Magic of Action:  How to Overcome Procrastination" was very motivating.  He is a very energetic speaker and his presentation contains excellent techniques and tools about overcoming procrastination.  I have had feedback from our group that they have been using these valuable tools to "lick their toads."

Laura Chan Yan, Polygon Homes Ltd., October 2003

Kevin's presentation on The Magic of Action:  How to Overcome Procrastination was very enjoyable.  Kevin lives what he talks about.  His enthusiasm and first hand experience make him very credible!  Identifying "my toads" and deciding which ones need to be licked has been very valuable!"

Michael Ganucheau, Director of Member Services, Polaris North American Network, September 2003

I saw Kevin a few weeks ago here in Winnipeg at the CGA conference and to say the least I was inspired.

I went to work the next day a little disappointed that I not been quick enough to get one of his cards with the Toad; but this however has turned into a blessing.

Kevin told me I could go to the website and print one off. I went to the website, looked at the card and decided I could not afford the coloured ink (I’m still a student).

It was at that point I got an inspiration. I decided to save the copy of the toad onto a disk and bring him to work.

He (The toad) is now the wallpaper on my computer complete with a reminder to lick my nastiest toad each morning.

Each day when I open my computer at work I am reminded to lick my nastiest toad and I do. It is also a reminder not to open my email until I have licked the big toad of the day or slotted a time in my calendar to do so. (I start work at 7:00 am and some of my toads are calling people).

I have been so inspired by Kevin’s presentation that I borrowed a book from the library at work on Time management for dummies and I am now in the process of getting my life under control.  I am also preaching about licking toad and I have printed the cartoon type toad that hangs in my cubical.

I realized that this is just the beginning and only time will tell how well things go.

One toad at a time.

Thanks Kevin.

Thanks again for the seminar. I enjoyed it. My objectives for the seminar were to meet 3 new people and to pick up one good idea I can actually use. Those objectives were accomplished.

After getting home, getting back to work and spending some time analyzing my habits I realized that I am really quite organized. My "toadettes" all get handled because I avoid the big toad. That is calling new prospects - essentially cold calls. I have no trouble with the warm or follow-up calls. This has been slowing the development of my business and had to be dealt with.

Using the 8-step process I identified several solutions to handling my "toad". I made the decision to conquer the problem and recognized a need to schedule in "Toad Time" right away. I have now done that on my computer schedule for all the times I recognize are required. For the last 2 days it has been working great and I know it will continue to work because I am seeing the results immediately. I have identified 3 people who are willing to support me. I value their input and we have great mutual respect. So I guess I have already accomplished my objective, and although it will be an ongoing battle I know I will succeed. I always do.

Thanks for your leadership and advise and all the best in your future endeavours. I am sure we will run into each other soon.

Kevin, Great seminar!  Please send me the list of categories for the Toads.

Thanks, Gary Seifrit

A big thank you for speaking at our ALIVE Making a Difference Conference and for bringing Jim with you.  What better way to drive home your message!  The students raved about you and your session.  I will be sure to send you the comments from the evaluation forms by the end of next week.

It would be appreciated if you would send me a contact address or number for Jim.  I would like to thank him personally as well.

I would also like to set a time to talk about our coaching arrangement.  Please let me know when a good time would be.

Thanks again, Kevin.  I look forward to speaking with you in the near future.
